• Each of the Rows 1-9 has digits 1-9 with no repetitions.
• Columns 1-9 contain digits 1-9 without repetition
• Each of the outlined 3 x 3 boxes have digits 1-9 with no repetitions.

1. Every guess you make must have reasoning. Straying from the approach of critical thinking harms progress greatly, especially when making random selections often leads to dead ends.

2. Concentrate your attention on the rows and columns or 3×3 blocks that contain the lowest number of missing pieces. These regions will help you to make decisions faster due to limited options.

3. Numbers that are already popular in the grid should not be overlooked. For instance, the fifth digit being placed eight times, means that the ninth "5" will most likely be placed without doubt.

4. After the placement of a number, look at what happens to the other intersecting rows, columns and blocks. You may find a number which you would have otherwise thought unecessary.

5. On an advanced level, candidates of grids should be enabled. Pencil marks can also come in handy when eliminating possibilities as these unlock patterns such as Naked Pairs or Locked Candidates.
